Hollywood star in the making! Fourteen year old Elle Fanning looks ethereal in pale pink for appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Forget midweek evenings being a monotonous grind of homework, Elle Fanning spends hers being interviewed on national television.
The 14-year old actress was a special guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night.
She was invited on to the show to talk about her new film, Ginger and Rosa, in which she plays a teenage girl in 1960s London.

For the role, not only was she required to master a British accent, but also colour her blonde hair a fiery red.
Her performance in the dramatic film has been heralded a triumph by critics, and even earned her praise from the film's director, Sally Potter.

She told Vogue: Elle can surrender to a scene in an extraordinarily interior and intelligent way. At the end of a take, she would look up at me for approval and love with this radiant smile.'

There was plenty of 'radiant smiling' as she arrived at the Jimmy Kimmel studios in Los Angeles.

Elle looked angelic in a pale pink dress from Balenciaga which perfectly matched the hue of her skin.
She appeared to be make-up free, which is not unusual for a 14-year old, and her long blonde hair hung poker straight around her shoulders.

Elle was in high spirits as she chatted to the 45-year old presenter, and frequently found herself giggling.
As well as talking about the new film, in which she stars alongside Timothy Spall and Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, she revealed that like most of the female population, she has a soft spot for Ryan Gosling.
She even admitted to receiving a Ryan Gosling colouring book for Christmas.
Perhaps it was a gift from her 19-year old sister, Dakota, who is also an actress.
